Chinatsu lives with her mother Akiko in an old house in a port city. They live ordinary lives, but enjoy happy days. Chinatsu has been accepted to an arts university and this keeps her busy. She is currently having a hard time writing her first university paper, which is about memories of her first love. One day, Akiko finds a paper notice in her daughter Chinatsu’s room. The notice asks Chinatsu to come back for a reexamination of her breast cancer screening. Akiko becomes heart broken over heart daughter's physical condition.
